Why do you have a 14-day waiting period?

ManyPets
Last updated a year ago - 1 min read
All our policies come with a 14 day waiting period.  This means that if your pet becomes ill in the first 14 days, you will have to pay for any treatment and that condition will become pre-existing.

If you are switching from another insurer and have had insurance for 12 consecutive months, we will waive the 14 days waiting period to ensure you have continuous cover. If you need to make a claim in the first 14 days, we will ask you to provide details of your previous insurer.

It is important to note that we cannot waive the waiting period of bilateral conditions and pregnancy.
