Scarlett Green review: 5-star treatment for doggy diners

Named the No.1 Brunch Spot in the World by TripAdvisor in 2021, and currently ranked No. 7 in the list of Top Restaurants in London, Scarlett Green comes with some very high praise attached. Based on Noel Street, in the heart of London’s Soho, it’s the perfect spot for business meetings, bottomless brunching, lunching with friends and intimate evenings spent enjoying their ‘Scarlett Nights’ menu. 

And luckily for us, they recently added dogs to the guest list. Diners can bring their pooches for drinks and food up until 5pm – so my dog Nula and I went to try it out on a very wet Tuesday in February. And what a treat it was.

The warm welcome from the staff quickly made us forget the soggy weather. We had a spacious window table with lots of room for Nula to move around and relax, set slightly apart for some calm but not so far away so that we didn’t feel part of the buzzy atmosphere. They also brought us a large comfy bed, quickly followed by a water bowl and a box of treats. The doggo treatment really is 5-star. 

With Nula settled and beginning to snooze, I turned to the food and drink. To keep it light, I ordered padron peppers to start with jalapeño aioli, plus one of their signature Margaritas. A perfect pairing!

But the main course was the real highlight. My Asian Chicken Salad was fresh, zingy and crunchy; so delicious that I plan on going back just to have it again. Finally, I ended my meal with the grilled pineapple with coconut sorbet – the perfect way to wrap up my Aussie foodie experience. 

With works by artists such as Shuby and LUAP lining the walls, Scarlett Green has a laid-back glam look that feels perfectly in line with its location, food and service. On a dog-friendly day out it’s a great place to stop off after a spot of shopping at Liberty, John Lewis and Selfridges who also allow dogs to roam their aisles. 

I’d 100% recommend this spot to friends; the team is super friendly, the food is excellent and they really do roll out the red (or should I say scarlet?) carpet for the dog guests while you wine and dine.
