A true local treasure, it's pretty hard to fully classify The Banyan Tree. Part Asian(ish - not really?) restaurant, part relaxed cafe, part lively neighbourhood bar - this is a real hub for Castlefield residents.

The space has a warm contemporary feel to it, with a smatter of outside seating should the occasion call for it. The menu is varied (you'll find Korean Chicken Strips alongside Penne Arrabbiata and Mustardy Chicken with Mash), and caters for most diets and tastes.

But the team's incredible hospitality doesn't stop there, oh no! Believe it or not, they have a dog menu for your pup to tuck into. They serve up Yoghurt & Banana Pupcakes alongside Chamomile Treats, making this a great spot for a special doggie occasion!
